Sunday Fun Day!

Today was interesting! It was our "day off". We started the day with a yummy breakfast, and then went to attend the service at the church nearby. We were all still exhausted from the hectic day before, so some of us nodded off during the service! But it was a good message. Then we drove to another church in a mall. This church was huge! It was so different to the small community church we went to earlier. It was a good message about waiting for the Lord, and doing things according to his time. It was a good and fun service.

After that, we were starving, so Jeff Long and his family treated us to a delicious Italian lunch. Once we were all fed and ready to go, we drove to the Green Hills market. It was crazy and crowded! There were so many stalls selling things from clothing to snacks to shoes, etc. Everything was cheap as well! We were all split up into groups to shop. It was fun bonding with different people, and shopping together. And I think we all enjoyed bargaining, because we don't get to do it much in Singapore. We bought many random t-shirts and hats, so our suitcases will come back pretty full!

We came back, exhausted and broke! We then had a de-briefing, and visited the children's home for a while. We played badminton, soccer, and basketball with them. Some of the kids really opened up, and it was great to see the smiles on their faces. Then we came back for dinner. Some groups went again to the home after dinner, and presented their devotions. They had practiced really hard to come up with a great interactive message that would teach the children about God. The children really received the message well, and had a lot of fun! Some of them got a little distracted, because I guess it was because they were more comfortable with us! But it made it more interesting. Other groups will also present their devotions over the next few nights.

Tomorrow we will have an even busier day, but we are all still excited. We will let you know our activities over the week! Bye!
